The Net Zero home is a collaboration with Construction Instruction and various partners to create a high-performance, sustainable home that produces as much energy as it consumes. The home features floor-to-ceiling windows, automated louvers, and shading to maximize natural light while maintaining energy efficiency. Special attention was paid to the orientation of the space to reduce energy consumption. The home utilizes advanced technology, such as automated lighting controls with photo sensors and a governor to prevent excessive energy use. Proceeds from the sale of the house go to the Arizona Service Project, a nonprofit that supports community building initiatives. The Net Zero home showcases the intersection of energy efficiency and technology in creating a comfortable, environmentally friendly living space.
